Colorado WINS Healthcare Representatives had their first meeting with the Department of Personnel and Administration (DPA) on Tuesday, November 13th. The meeting was held as part of the newly revived Global Partnership Track. During the meeting, participants reviewed the fundamentals of the state’s healthcare benefit design process. Healthcare Representatives conveyed the concerns they have heard from state employees across the state, such as rising premiums and opportunities for education on benefits.
The group concluded their first discussion by establishing a timeline for mutual education about the state workforce health plans, the construction of an aggressive employee wellness plan, and the exploration of new ideas to reduce the cost and improve quality of plans offered as we head into the 2014 RFP process.
The next Healthcare Partnership meeting will take place on December 11.
