Yesterday, Governor Polis signed the state budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 into law. It is one of the single largest investments in Colorado public services in living memory.
Thanks to members' vigilance in enforcing our contract, CDLE (and all departments with similar practices) must cease and desist from applying departmental policies that violate Article 14.3.
Our Tentative Agreement with the Department of Corrections has been ratified as an addendum to our Partnership Agreement.

As vacancies at State Correctional Facilities continue to rise, DOC employees are continuously asked to fill the gaps left by department policies. These dangerous conditions are now responsible for the death of DOC employees.

Earlier this month DOC workers, their friends and families had tragedy strike their community several times.
Today the Supreme Court, led by extremists, overturned the right of people to choose how and when to have children. Colorado WINS soundly denounces this decision. We support–and have supported from the very beginning–equal rights for people of every color, class, and religion to make their own decisions about their healthcare, based on accurate, unbiased information and unfettered access to quality, affordable healthcare.
