Last Saturday Colorado WINS members came together for our 2021 Member Convention. Together we celebrated our progress over the last three years, elected officers, and set the direction for our union.
With victories electing a pro-worker majority to our state house to arriving at an agreement for our first ever contract for state employees, Colorado WINS has been leading the way for a Colorado that works for all of us.
We also honored several members for their work over the last three years.
The Horizons Award was presented to Steven Arauza with honorable mentions going to Julia Anderson, Linc Hulbert, and Jessica Mathis for their involvement in Colorado WINS.
The Tonjia Portillos Award for recruiting the most members went to Christopher Cheaqui.
President Skip Miller also presented the President’s Award to Jane Wilson for her dedication and commitment to building a strong state employees union in Colorado.
We are proud to honor our 2021-2024 Board Members:
Skip Miller - President
Hilary Glasgow - Executive Director
Jessica Mathis - Secretary
Mike Powers - Treasurer
Together we passed 7 amendments that will update our constitution and 1 resolution that will inform the board when they are making decisions.
We’re excited to embark on the next three years together!
