Group holding 'We Make Colorado Run' signs indoors at Colorado capitol

Earlier this week, we once again saw an out-of-state third party organization send an automated email to our members, phishing for your personal identifying information and authorization to act on your behalf.

The goal is obvious: this is all about stripping state employees of union rights and weakening our union so that what we’re seeing happen to federal workers can happen here too.

Federal cuts and rising healthcare costs are already hitting our state budget hard, and as we head into the next legislative session, things are going to get a lot tougher.

We’re going to have to fight hard to protect wins like our COLA and Step Raises, so we need to keep our union strong. That means growing our membership.

So be vigilant, and every time you see one of those emails, unsubscribe, and talk with your colleagues about doing the same.

And if they’re not already a member, talk to them about why signing up helps us hold on to our wins.
