Unfortunately you cannot wear anything bearing political slogans or our logo: that means no COWINS buttons, hoodies, and t-shirts. We encourage you to dress as you would for work, or business casual.

We need everyone to stick together and arrive at the Capitol at the same time: keeping everyone together makes things much easier on our staff and Lobby Captains, and frankly, for you too. Plus, It is much easier (and free!) to park at the Justice for All Center and take the bus with us. Second, we will not be reimbursing parking costs.

Yes! If you are a Union Steward, you can use Union Leave to attend the trainings during the day on March 17.

No. You cannot use Union Leave for political activity which includes lobbying.

We encourage you to attend one of our trainings (virtual or on the 17th) but it is especially important for you to join us on the evening of the 17th from 5 to 8pm: this is where you'll register, pick up your kits, meet your Lobby Captain, and find out exactly what to expect on Lobby Day, as well as have the opportunity to meet and enjoy a meal with fellow union members.

Yes! Please do remember to bring your state employee badge with you to the Capitol for Lobby Day. It will allow you to bypass security and get into the Capitol much more quickly!

This year’s state budget deficit means we need a show of force on Lobby Day. Last year we had more than 100 descend on the Capitol: this year we need to show even more strength in numbers so we can protect funding for this July’s pay raises and other benefits in our Partnership Agreement.
